Moodle - Types of Questions in Moodle Quiz

Types of questions and sections that need to be text in: 

  1. Multiple Choice  
    1. Question Name  
    2. Question Text  
    3. Default Mark – How much is this question worth? The default is 1  
    4. One or Multiple answers? - The default in “One answer only”  
    5. Shuffle the Choices – radio button – default is checked radio button implying yes, shuffle the choices  
    6. Answers 
      1. Type in question, grade (Can give it a certain percentage if wanting to give partial credit for a choice), Feedback if any  
      2. One choice must be 100 percent  
  2. True/False  
    1. Question Name  
    2. Question Text  
    3. Default Mark – How much is this question worth? The default is 1 
    4. General Feedback – if any  
    5. Correct Answer – Default is “False”, must change if “True”   
    6. Feedback for the Response ‘True’/Feedback for the Response ‘False’  
  3. Matching  
    1. Question Name  
    2. Question Text  
    3. Default Mark – How much is this question worth? The default is 1 
    4. Shuffle Radio Button – default is turned on  
    5. Answers  
      1. “You must provide at least two questions and three answers. You can provide extra wrong answers by giving an answer with a blank question. Entries where both the question and the answer are blank will be ignored.” 
      2. An option to add “Blanks for 3 more questions” 
  4. Short Answer  
    1. Question Name  
    2. Question Text  
    3. Default Mark – How much is this question worth? The default is 1 
    4. Case Sensitivity – default “No case is unimportant”  
    5. Correct Answers  
      1. “You must provide at least one possible answer. Answers left blank will not be used. ‘*’ can be used as a wildcard to match any characters. The first matching answer will be used to determine the score and feedback.” 
    6. Answers  
      1. Provide one answer a grade, you can give partial credit to other answers  
      2. Option to provide feedback for answers.  
      3. Option to add “Blanks for 3 More Answers”  
    7. *** Use short answers for a response that is 5 words or less. Use Essay option for answers longer than a sentence.
